Iranian film ‘The Voice’ has made its way to the Utopia Film Festival in the US.

Ali Abdollahi’s latest directorial experience will vie at the 18th edition of the American event.

‘The Voice’ is a slice of the life of a cinema sound engineer who spends day and night in a car while picking up passengers, listening to the recorded voice of his loved one.

A short synopsis of the film reads: “Hanna: What would you do if you miss me? Ebi: I’ll listen to your voice.”

Ebrahim Azizi, Hanna Kamkar and Khalil Zoroufchian star in the film.

According to the official website of the Utopia Film Festival, “it seeks documentaries, feature films, shorts and animation which creatively explore the personal, social, political, cultural and environmental issues which challenge humanity’s never-ending quest for a better world”.

This year’s edition of the event is slated for November 18-21, 2022.
